Middletown Mike shows off his investigative mettle

Today Middletown Mike posted leading an informative piece about the proposed turf fields in Middletown. These multi-million dollar fields have been a hot issue in the last few years. We have seen school board challengers kicking off their mail campaigns attacking the costs associated with turn fields throughout the state. Read about it here. Pros and cons of artificial fields’ What stands out about Mike’s posting is his well reasoned, balanced, and highly specific address of this vital issue.

Yesterday Middletown Mike broke news on an outrageous proposed new tax on already overburdened homeowner. The Middletown planning board is considering taxing property owners for every tree they chop down on their lots. While this may make sense for big block and strip mall developers, it certainly does not pass muster when applied to a family already burdened with property, income, and sales taxes.
