This letter is addressed to Larry Barth of the New Jersey Clean Energy Program asking for an additional extension on the Solar Electric Project Rebate Commitment.
Of particular interest in this letter is the list of individuals who received carbon copies:

Michael Winka, Director, Office of Clean Energy, NJ Board of Public Utilities

Inquiring minds want to know why Senator O’Toole is receiving copies of correspondence on a project that three separate state agencies have deemed as highly improper? Is he complicit? Could O’Toole, an environmental lawyer, have some substantial role in Rumana’s sleazy solar scheme? Is O’Toole sponsoring legislation to further enable Rumana’s seedy schemes? Could O’Toole – close to Jersey Democrats – be serving as a liaison between Rumana and the Democratic interests who hold the key to WEC’s future?

While “Brooklyn Al” Doblin’s bromance with Rumana continues, REAL news gathering organizations do the work Scott’s buddies just wont touch.

Thank goodness, ladies and gentlemen, for News12 New Jersey’s Walt Kane who Thursday featured a hard hitting segment on Rumana’s sleazy scheme. Quite frankly, I, as a former governor of THESTATENJ, was getting lonely being the only guy covering the most under-reported North Jersey news story of the year. Kudos also to PolitickerNJ’s Darryl R. Isherwood who (though giving Rumana far too little credit) wrote up a solid piece, Rumana’s Headache which was almost as entertaining as the comment flame war beneath his story.

As the foremost web based character-illumination service in New Jersey, THESTATE editors have taken it upon ourselves to dissect the Board of Public Utilities (Board/BPU) docket which basically put the kibosh on Scott Rumana’s taxpayer-funded solar-powered patronage mill. Today THESTATE provides an update on the most under-reported Northern New Jersey story of the year.

That’s right ladies and gentlemen, THESTATE is the ONLY media outfit writing on the explosive revelations of a sitting assemblyman, Boss Scott Rumana, being investigated for an unethical scheme to build a taxpayer funded (and solar powered) patronage mill.

We understand your confusion, loyal readers. Why, oh why, you ask, has the headline-grabbing story of a sitting assemblyman pounded for ethical lapses by BOTH the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and the Joint Committee on Legislative Ethics, not been reported by such eminent media outlets as the Record or PolickerNJ?

That question is one we cannot answer; we can only speculate. Perhaps North Jersey Media Group editor “Citizen Al” Doblin, a Brooklyn resident, is too far away from New Jersey to have any clue as to what happens in the Garden State. Perhaps Wally Edge (or shall we say David Wildstein) is only 2 degrees removed from Boss Scott Rumana? Like we said, we can only speculate as to the impetus behind such journalistic malpractice.
