Drive through any town with May elections and you’ll see plenty of lawn signs for both sides in these low-turnout municipal elections.

Readers have asked why we haven’t covered the race in Jersey City. Well because when you are the incumbent mayor of Jersey City sitting on a war chest that raised over $3 million and President Obama appears in radio and television spots endorsing you, its game over. Jerramiah Healy, even in a five way field, is going to be re-elected. We are sorry to break this to you.
